Dr. Marianna Fisher is an Arizona licensed naturopathic physician, acupuncturist, and certified yoga instructor who combines modalities from Naturopathic, Ayurvedic and Chinese medical systems. She also specializes in acupuncture, nutrition and food therapy, homeopathy, herbal therapies along with rejuvenation and anti-aging counseling and life coaching.
Nearly 35 years ago she was introduced to the health benefits of live, raw foods. As a result, she has been studying the vital
connection between food and health for over 30 years. She has also been juicing, growing sprouts and wheatgrass and eating primarily a vegan, raw foods diet since then.
Her new program is specifically designed with healthy and sustainable weight loss in mind. Throughout the program, participants will detoxify their bodies; learn about the importance of raw foods while also forming new eating habits. Dr. Fisher will be available for her clients at pre-determined hours in order to evaluate how diets are affecting health, answer questions, weigh-in clients and more.
Dr. Fisher is in the process of publishing The Kinship of Food: Eating as if Life Depends on It. After 35 years of following her own advice, her health and physical appearance reflect the benefits of a raw foods diet. As a result she looks much younger than her age
of 60. Based on her training, her past experiences as well as her youthful, healthy exuberance, she feels confident in her ability to speak with expert authority on a wide variety of health topics.
January 6, 2012 she will begin a new supervised weight loss program customized to suit the specific nutritional needs of her clientele. The new weight loss program will include online support as well as one-on-one guidance and adjusted programs as needed. The program will soon implement diets best suited to blood type as well.
